Charkhari Mission

Charkhari Mission is the first-ever mission field of the Madhya Kerala Diocese of CSI in North India and is formed as a Centenary mission of the Diocese. Lord has made the mission a channel of transformation in the Bundhelkand area. The aim of the mission is the holistic development of the society which we strive to attain by spreading the love of Jesus Christ through various mediums. Our mission foci are mainly on Educational Ministry, Village Ministry and Child Development Projects. We have Sunday worship in our St. Stephen's Chapel, Charkhari. Our mission school, St. James Inter College, is one of the best schools in the Mahoba district and is running its 28th year. Our school, in which children are coming from more than 35 villages, stands for the well-being of the poor and the oppressed. We have four tuition centres in Panvadi village. These centres are run without collecting any fees from the students as they all belong to very poor families. Also, the mission operate a Child Development Project which supports 55 children from poor families, of which the majority are girls.
