CSI St. James Parish, Muscat

CSI St. James Church Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, was established in the year 1976 by a small group of Malayalam-speaking people who were working in different firms in Muscat. It was a humble beginning of Fellowship Meetings and Worship. From May 1976 onwards Worship started in the Ruwi Church compound. In 1983 Muscat Church accepted CSI Madhya Kerala Diocesan Constitution and Muscat St. James Church was declared as a Pastorate under the jurisdiction of the Bishop in Madhya Kerala Diocese. In 1991 we got permission to build Parsonage and Church in the Ruwi Church compound and completed the construction in the same year. Later, the Church building extension was completed in 2000 and named CSI St. James Church Muscat.

Currently, the church can accommodate more than 200 worshippers at a time. The congregation managed to have a spacious parsonage too.

The worship timings are as follows: Every Friday: Fasting Prayer at 10.30 am; Holy Communion Service at 6.00 pm; Sunday School at 7.00 pm to 8.15 pm.

At Sohar we have Worship Service on every 1st & 3rd Saturdays 8.00pm at PCO Church Compound.

The congregation welcomes all who come to Muscat to Worship with them.
