CSI St. Peter's Church of Los Angeles
- Since the mid 70’s, there has been a significant influx of Christians from South India into the United States of America. Finding us in the midst of great diversity with differences in language, culture and lifestyle, the Christians who follow the time-tested faith and practices of the Church of South India (CSI), felt a growing need to be culturally and religiously bound together by the liturgical and ecclesiastical practices of CSI. St. Peter’s CSI Church will cater to the spiritual needs of its members by providing a platform for the orderly practice of the faith.
- The vision of the congregation is to touch the world with the Word of God through its members. The congregation is motivated by a passion for God and compassion for people. As a growing church, its message is to call upon everyone to depend on God’s Love, guidance and strength in every step of the way.
- Founded on May 29th 2004, to minister to the pastoral needs of the greater metropolis of Los Angeles and beyond, the congregation is going from strength to strength. Till today God has blessed the church immensely. The greatest strength of our church is the openness and cohesiveness of our members which creates a family atmosphere in our congregation. The members do care for each other and treat each other as extended families. Our worship location from Jan 2004 – June 2013 was St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (1221 Wass St, Tustin, CA 92870) and from July 1st, 2013 forward is St. Thomas Episcopal Church, (15694 Tetley St, La Puente, CA 91745). We were made to feel very homely in these facilities. The congregation is extremely thankful to the Vicar and parishioners of St. Thomas for the wholehearted support they are providing presently.
