അഭിവന്ദ്യ ജോഷ്വാ മാർ ഇഗ്നാത്യോസ് പിതാവിന്റെ സേവനങ്ങൾക്ക് ആദരവ് നൽകി നിലയ്ക്കൽ എക്യുമെനിക്കൽ പ്രസ്ഥാനം
നിലയ്ക്കൽ എക്യുമെനിക്കൽ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞ 25 വർഷങ്ങളായി സജീവമായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയും നേതൃത്വം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന അഭിവന്ദ്യ ജോഷ്വാ മാർ ഇഗ്നാത്യോസ് പിതാവിന്റെ നല്ല നേതൃത്വത്തെ നിലയ്ക്കൽ എക്യുമെനിക്കൽ ട്രസ്റ്റ് അനുമോദിച്ചു. പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ നിലവിലെ വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റായി അഭിവന്ദ്യ പിതാവ് പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു. കത്തോലിക്കാ സഭയുടെ നിയമം അനുസരിച്ച് ഔദ്യോഗിക ഭരണനിർവഹണം 75 വയസ്സ് വരെ ആയതിനാൽ സഭയുടെ ഔദ്യോഗിക സ്ഥാനത്തു നിന്നും വിരമിക്കുന്ന ജോഷ്വാ പിതാവിന് നിലയ്ക്കൽ എക്കുമെനിക്കൽ ട്രസ്റ്റിന്റെ എല്ലാ ആശംസകളും നേരുന്നതിനോടൊപ്പം, തുടർന്നും പിതാവിന്റെ സജീവമായ പങ്കാളിത്തം ട്രസ്റ്റിന്റെ ആവശ്യങ്ങളിൽ ഉണ്ടാകണമെന്ന് ട്രസ്റ്റ് അംഗങ്ങൾ ഒന്നടങ്കം ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
ദർശനികനായ നേതാവ്, എക്യുമെനിക്കൽ പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾക്ക് ശക്തമായ പിന്തുണ നൽകുന്ന വ്യക്തി, മനുഷ്യരെ ചേർത്തു പിടിക്കുന്നതിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ച വ്യക്തി, സമന്വയത്തിന്റെ വക്താവ്, വിശ്രമം ആഗ്രഹിക്കാതെ കഠിനാധ്വാനം ചെയ്യുന്ന ആൾ ഇങ്ങനെ നീളും പിതാവിനെ പറ്റിയുള്ള സവിശേഷതകളുടെ നീണ്ട പട്ടിക. ഈ നാളുകളിലെ എക്യുമെനിക്കൽ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ പിതാവിന്റെ സേവനത്തെ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ ഭാരവാഹികൾ നന്ദിയോടെ ഓർക്കുന്നു.
മാർത്തോമാ സഭയുടെ ആസ്ഥാനമായ പുലാത്തീനിൽ വച്ച് നടന്ന യോഗത്തിൽ എക്യുമെനിക്കൽ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ പ്രസിഡന്റ് മാർത്തോമാ സഭയുടെ അധ്യക്ഷൻ അഭിവന്ദ്യ ഡോ. തിയോഡോഷ്യസ് മാർത്തോമ മെത്രാപോലീത്ത അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ച മീറ്റിങ്ങിൽ ട്രസ്റ്റിന്റെ ഭാരവാഹികളായ വിവിധ സഭകളുടെ പ്രതിനിധികളും, സഭാ അധ്യക്ഷന്മാർ എന്നിവർ പങ്കെടുത്തു. ജോഷ്വാ മാർ ഇഗ്നാത്യോസ് പിതാവിന് നിലയ്ക്കൽ ട്രസ്റ്റിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി മംഗള പത്രവും മെമെന്റോയും കൈമാറി. അഭിവന്ദ്യ പിതാവിന്റെ വിശ്രമ ജീവിതം നിലക്കൽ എക്യുമെനിക്കൽ പ്രസ്ഥാനവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് ഏറ്റവും സജീവമായി മാറട്ടെ എന്ന് ആശംസിക്കുന്നു.
The Nilakkal Ecumenical Trust formally honoured His Grace Joshua Mar Ignathios for his visionary leadership and dedicated service spanning over 25 years within the Nilakkal Ecumenical Movement. His Grace currently serves as the Vice President of the Movement.
As per the canonical regulations of the Catholic Church, administrative responsibilities are to be relinquished at the age of 75. In light of his retirement from official ecclesiastical duties, the Trust extended its heartfelt gratitude and best wishes to His Grace. The Trust also expressed its strong desire that he would continue to remain actively involved in its mission and activities.
A profound thinker, a committed ecumenist, a unifying voice, and a leader who served tirelessly without seeking rest—these are only a few among the many distinguished qualities that define His Grace. The Trust fondly remembers and gratefully acknowledges the significant role he played in shaping and supporting the ecumenical efforts over the years.
A special meeting was held at the headquarters of the Mar Thoma Church in Pulatheen, presided over by the President of the Ecumenical Movement and Head of the Mar Thoma Church, His Grace Dr. Theodosius Mar Thoma Metropolitan. The gathering was attended by office bearers of the Trust, representatives from various churches, and heads of denominations. As a token of appreciation, a felicitation scroll and memento were presented to His Grace on behalf of the Nilaikkal Ecumenical Trust.
The Trust earnestly prays and wishes that His Grace’s years of retirement will continue to be filled with active engagement and fruitful involvement in the ongoing mission of ecumenism.
