Proclaim God's love that Embraces the Marginalized: Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr Malayil Sabu Koshy Cherian

Kottayam: Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr Malayil Sabu Koshy Cherian, Bishop in the Madhya Kerala Diocese of the CSI, exhorted that the believers have a mission to proclaim the divine love that keeps the marginalized closer and protected in a world full of evil activitiesand unethical practices.

The Bishop, who was inaugurating the Madhya Kerala Diocesan Convention at the Baker School compound in Kottayam has said that the need of the hour is for the faith community to act like the philanthropic Good Samaritan who spent his time, talent and potential for others, the bishop added. Idukki Orthodox Diocesan Metropolitan H.G. Zachariah Mar Severios delivered the keynote address. The Metropolitan said that the mission of the faith community is to introduce God who walks with man to the community. The Metropolitan said that only those who turn the knowledge of the scriptures into personal experiences can participate in this mission. Bishop Rt. Rev. Thomas Samuel, Bishop Rt. Rev. Thomas K. Oommen, Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Andrew Asbill, Rev. Dr Shajan A. Edikula; the Diocesan Treasurer, Nelson Chacko; the Clergy Secretary, Mr. Jacob Philip Kallumala; the Lay Secretary, Philip M. Varughese; the Registrar, Rev. Dr P. K. Kuruvila, Rev. George Cherian (General Convenors of the Convention) Rev. Thomas George, Rev. Alpha Varughese Joseph, Rev. Wesley P. Kuruvila and PM Chacko spoke on the occasion.

The CD and notation books that contain the convention songs were also released by the Bishop during the convention.
