Mrs Sherin Jacob Jenu Receives Her Doctorate from the President of India

Dr Sherin Jacob Jenu, a member of the Madhya Kerala Diocese of the Church of South India and the wife of Rev. Jenu John, the Vicar of the Holy Trinity CSI Parish in Dublin, received her doctorate from Dr Draupadi Murmu, the President of India, in a solemn ceremony held at Madras University on the 6th of this month. Member of Madhya Kerala Mahayidavaka and Dublin CSI of Ireland. The doctorate was awarded for the research paper which found the toxic nature of mercury in Methylmercury
and its remedy. Dr Sherin holds M.Sc from Pondicherry JIPMER University and has also obtained GATE and JRF. She has published many research papers in international journals like 'Elsevier' and 'Springer'.
Dr Sherin is the daughter-in-law of Very Rev. T. J. John, one of the senior pastors of the Diocese and the daughter of the late M. J. Jacob and Mrs Mary Jacob (Karuvallil house, Nalunnakkal).
Sherin Kochamma, who achieved the prestigious doctorate, was felicitated by Rt Rev. Dr Malayil Sabu Koshy Cherian, the Bishop in the Madhya Kerala Diocese.
സി.എസ്.ഐ. മധ്യകേരള മഹായിടവക അംഗവും അയർലണ്ടിലെ ഡബ്ലിൻ സി.എസ്.ഐ. ഹോളി ട്രിനിറ്റി ഇടവക വികാരിയായ റവ. ജെനു ജോണിൻ്റെ പത്നിയുമായ ഡോ. ഷെറിൻ ജേക്കബ് ജെനു മദ്രാസ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം നടന്ന ചടങ്ങിൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് ദ്രൗപദി മുർമുവിൽനിന്നും ഡോക്ടറേറ്റ് ബിരുദം ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി. മീഥയിൽ മെർക്കുറിയുടെ വിഷലിപ്തസ്വഭാവവും അതിനുള്ള പ്രതിവിധിയും കണ്ടെത്തുന്ന ഗവേഷണപ്രബന്ധത്തിനാണ് ഡോക്ടറേറ്റ് ലഭിച്ചത്. പോണ്ടിച്ചേരി JIPMER ൽ നിന്നും M.Sc നേടിയ ഷെറിൻ GATE, JRF എന്നിവയും കരസ്ഥമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. 'Elsiever', 'Springer' തുടങ്ങിയ ഇൻ്റർനാഷണൽ ജേർണലുകളിൽ നിരവധി റിസേർച്ച് പേപ്പറുകൾ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
മഹായിടവകയിലെ സീനിയർ വൈദികനായ വെരി റവ. ടി. ജെ. ജോൺ അച്ചൻ്റെ മരുമകൾ കൂടിയാണ് ശ്രീമതി ഷെറിൻ. പിതാവ് പരേതനായ കാരുവള്ളിൽ എം. ജെ. ജേക്കബ്; മാതാവ് ശ്രീമതി മേരി ജേക്കബ് (നാലുന്നാക്കൽ).
അഭിമാനകരമായ നേട്ടം കരസ്ഥമാക്കിയ ഷെറിൻ കൊച്ചമ്മയെ സി.എസ്.ഐ. മധ്യകേരള മഹായിടവക ബിഷപ്പ് റൈറ്റ് റവ. ഡോ. മലയിൽ സാബു കോശി ചെറിയാൻ അഭിനന്ദനം അറിയിച്ചു.
