Nilakkal Trust Elected New Office Bearers. Bishop Malayil Sabu Koshy Cherian Continues as the Secretary

The committee meeting of Nilakkal Ecumenical Trust, a confederation of Episcopal Churches in Kerala, was held at the CSI Madhya Kerala Diocesan Bishops House at Kottayam. Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr Malayil Sabu Koshy Cherian led the meeting as the Secretary of the Nilakkal St. Thomas Church & Ecumenical Centre Trust. In the Standing Committee meeting, which was held at the CSI Retreat Centre, new officers of the Nilakkal Ecumenical Trust were elected.
Most Rev. Dr Theodosius Marthoma Metropolitan has been elected as Chairman, and Most Rev. Dr Joshua Mar Ignatius is the new Vice-President. CSI Madhya Kerala Diocesan Bishop Malayil Sabu Koshy Cherian will continue as the Secretary, and Mr Abraham will continue as treasurer.
Four representatives each from all the Episcopal Churches participated in the Standing Committee meeting. In a very constructive meeting, the activities of the Nilakkal movement and the Nilakkal Church were evaluated and the need for churches to work together in unity was stressed.

കേരളത്തിലെ എപ്പിസ്കോപ്പൽ സഭകളുടെ കൂട്ടായ്മയായ നിലക്കൽ എക്യുമെനിക്കൽ ട്രസ്റ്റിന്റെ കമ്മിറ്റി സി.എസ്.ഐ. മദ്ധ്യകേരള മഹായിടവക ബിഷപ്സ് ഹൗസിൽ നടന്നു. നിലക്കൽ സെന്റ് തോമസ് ചർച്ച് & എക്യുമെനിക്കൽ സെന്റർ ട്രസ്റ്റിന്റെ സെക്രട്ടറി എന്ന നിലയിൽ മദ്ധ്യകേരള മഹായിടവക ബിഷപ് റൈറ്റ് റവ. ഡോ. മലയിൽ സാബു കോശി ചെറിയാൻ ട്രസ്റ്റിന്റെ യോഗത്തിന് നേതൃത്വം നൽകി. സി.എസ്.ഐ. റിട്രീറ്റ് സെന്ററിൽ തുടർന്ന് നടന്ന യോഗത്തിൽ നിലക്കൽ എക്യുമെനിക്കൽ ട്രസ്റ്റിന്റെ പുതിയ ഭാരവാഹികളെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.
മോസ്റ്റ് റവ. ഡോ. തിയോഡോഷ്യസ് മാർത്തോമാ മെത്രാപ്പോലീത്ത ചെയർമാനായും, മോസ്റ്റ് റവ. ഡോ. ജോഷ്വാ മാർ ഇഗ്നാത്തിയോസ് മെത്രപൊലീത്ത വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ആയും തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു. സി.എസ്.ഐ. മദ്ധ്യകേരള മഹായിടവക ബിഷപ് സെക്രട്ടറിയായും, ശ്രീ. എബ്രഹാം ഇട്ടിച്ചെറിയ ട്രെഷറർ ആയും തുടരും.
നിലക്കൽ കമ്മിറ്റിയിൽ എല്ലാ എപ്പിസ്കോപ്പൽ സഭകളുടെയും നാല് പ്രതിനിധികൾ വീതം പങ്കെടുത്തു. വളരെ ക്രിയാത്മകമായി നടത്തപ്പെട്ട യോഗത്തിൽ നിലക്കൽ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെയും നിലക്കൽ സഭയുടെയും പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളെ വിലയിരുത്തുകയും, സഭകൾ ഐക്യതയോടെ ഒന്നിച ്ചു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ ആവശ്യകത ചർച്ചയ്ക്ക് വയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
